'PIONEERS' takes its lead from portraiture within the museum and projects this forward to today to create portraits of South Asian creatives. All of these people have forged dynamic new paths and platforms and contributed to what we are calling ‘A Renaissance in South Asian Creativity’ - These are the people we call 'PIONEERS'.

Royal Museums Greenwich commissioned COMMONGROUND& to respond to the representation of South Asian history and culture within the National Maritime Museum as part of the first celebration connected to South Asian Heritage Month.

‘PIONEERS’ will be at the National Maritime Museum, Romney Road, Greenwich, London SE10 9NF
